Accurate models to describe the radio channels are required to design wireless networking systems. In addition, radio channel models are used in radio planning to ensure economic development and enough capacity and service quality on the deployment.
With regard to these two aspects, it is important that the models we create take into account the topography and settlement pattern. Thus it is preferable to develop models that use digital maps to make the planning as accurate as possible.
The models can be used as a complete radio plan or to give the operator a cost estimate for developing a specific area. Measuring is then conducted to verify and improve the model.
